Anti-cancer drugs are the drugs especially researched and developed to kill the growing cancer cells, tumour cells, and the malignancies generated in the body or any part of the body. Cancer is globally the leading cause of death apart from heart diseases which is currently the number one disease leading to the majority of morbidity and mortality among the people globally. The first anti-cancer drug or the anti-neoplastic drug was discovered in the ninteenth centuries. And later further advance research and developments to fight the cancer are happening all across the globe. The first documented anti-cancer drug dates back to the year 1861, where Robert Bentley, from Kings College London, worked on local anti-tumour effects in Podophyllum peltatum. The extracts from this plant were even listed, in “Materia Medica”. The current letter is dedicated to famous chemotherapy drug, i.e. CYCLOPHOSPHAMIDE, CP. Cyclophosphamide, is a nitrogen class of chemotherapy drug, which works by alkylating the DNA strands of the cancer cells, and ultimately eliminates the malignancy.
